Review V-Moda and V-Moda M100 Matte Headphones
I am a Professional DJ, I do allot of Radio and DJing and Live shows, I own 2 radio stations so I buy a lot of gear for the studios, I tend to buy AKG Headphones and Condenser Microphones. radio equipment is notoriously expensive and is built to last with great longevity and quality.
So about 8 months ago, I decided I wanted to buy some new personnel DJ headphones, as my Stanton HB/101 are nearly 30 years old and never let me down yet, just getting a bit tatty with ages like so many of us do.
So as we all do, I went looking thru the web and reviews, at the normal staple diet for Dj´s Headphones, that the industry seems to be constantly offer.
Pioneer HDJ - X7 Sennheiser HD 25
Beyerdynamic DT-880 Technics EAH-DJ 1200
and the list gets longer every year with new brands Like V-Moda, who I later found out was own by ROLAND.
As I live in the Canary Islands, We are not afforded so many shops with a full range of Products or good mail-order services, So having family in the USA, I can get good deals thru retailers and Specialist Shops, that I don't get here and my birthday was coming up the big 50...
So after much looking and reviewing I thought,
I would try V-Moda, as they claim on their website:-

Decided on the V-Moda Crossfade M100 - Matt Back
" and I was told they would be a birthday present so don't order any from my family "
So I order so Custom shields and extra leads etc more money in total 350.00 euors
They arrive so I open them and add the customs shields and lead...
Plug them into my mixer and they sound good nice bass and wide frequency which is crisp and they are fairly comfy to wear, even tho I use them on 1 ear only, so I can listen with the other ear to external Monitor for my mixing
metal shoulders and plastic cups. input connector on the bottom of each earphone cup....
So it all Kicks off with Covid - 19 Virus and lockdown happens. we at DMT Fm decide to launch a massive 24 hours live streaming event with DJs from around the world
So 24 hours into the Event, I am doing the final 2 hours of the Event in the middle of my live set headphones left cup fails, grab my old trusty Stantons, finished my set. had not slept in over 36 hours with running the studio and Hosting the Live Event.
After I had slept a while, I decided to check out my headphones change to my spare cable still not working move the cable to the other cups audio input still nothing working...
So i emailed V-Moda explaining the problem,
